I hope you are all having a great weekend. I'm back with another Design Team post for DrPhilScraps.com and another Laughing Lola project.
I wanted to do another dimensional project and I love the embellishments and patterns with Laughing Lola and wanted to highlight them. This paper screams "teenage girl" to me and reminds me so much of one of my nieces, so I decided to make a picture frame for her.
I started off with a $1 wood frame. Using Mod Podge I adhered the main paper after cutting it to fit. Once it had dried for a few minutes I used a file to get the edges exact. I debated what to do for the edging and opted to use Desert Sand ink and sponge them a little darker to coordinate.
I cut different size flowers using Artiste. My technique is to roll them as tight as possible, hot glue them and then spray with water to help curl the petals down. I have a video tutorial on my blog!
I finished the frame with Laughing Lola dimensional chipboard pieces and Durable Round Studs. To help make the chipboard pop I put Liquid Glass on the heart!
Now the hard part, actually mailing this off!
