Sketches are fun and useful for those in a hurry, gives you a guide to go by when you get stumped for ideas but the sky is the limit with a sketch since it is your creative mind and showing how you have interpreted it.

This month we are creating cards or layouts based on a sketch.

I chose the layout sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch

This layout evolved so much differently then my normal process.

Usually I start with pictures, then choose my paper & then think about my layout.

As soon as I saw this sketch I thought country/western & remembered my Dakota paper from CTMH. Last came my picture & that wasn't easy.

I have never done a layout of just me, but that Country Girl is ME!

I used Old West fonts to create my Country Girl title, outlined it in CTMH pacific ink & used foam tape to pop-it.

The star flourish was cut using CTMH Art Philosophy, stamped with a coordinating CTMH stamp. I then used my Scor-Pal to score the star, folded it to add dimension & then added foam tape to the center to keep it 3D.

My banner was cut with the AP cartridge and so was the ticket that coordinated with the stamp. I used my Big Bite to add grommets & then used the black floss to hang the banner.

I also used Black Striped Grosgrain ribbon & Round Studs to embellish.
